DIM ESEE v2 innovative workshop – Innovation in exploration
08/07/2021DIM ESEE-2: Implementing innovations is a lifelong learning project funded by EIT RawMaterials, focusing on rising innovativeness among raw materials professionals in the ESEE region. The project consortium, coordinated by University of Zagreb – Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering, gathers 13 partner institutions: University of Liège, Montanuniversität Leoben, National Technical University of Athens, University of Miskolc, Technical University of Košice, Slovenian National Building and Construction Engineering Institute, Polytechnic University of Tirana – Faculty of Geology and Mining, University of Tuzla, University of Belgrade – Faculty of Mining & Geology, Geological Survey of Montenegro, Goce Delcev University Štip, Dnipro University of Technology, University of Mining and Geology ”St. Ivan Rilski”.
DIM ESEE -2 has a legacy of positive results and success of the DIM ESEE school implemented in previous years (2016-2020) and aspires to multiply the impact via the INNOVATIVE WORKSHOP 2021. The workshop will be held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, October 20-22nd, 2021 in hybrid mode (online participation being enabled).
The main focus of the workshop is the innovation in exploration, bringing forth innovative solutions on various topics such as:
- Main challenges and needs in innovative mineral exploration and robotization,
- Remote-sensing and sensor-based techniques and their application in the construction of 3D models, and
- Advanced geophysical data processing and geostatistical methods, and their innovative applications for mineral exploration.
