RMs Manager Course – NTUA edition

21/10/2021   After the successful first edition of the RMs Manager Course, the enrollment for the new edition has started, with three parallel courses organized by AGH, NTUA and TUKE. Gained experience was used to improve the formula and the course content to make it even more comprehensive. The present edition is organized by NTUA in cooperation with AGH and is an adaptation of the main RMs Manager course designed mainly for Greek University students of the Raw Materials sector.

The NTUA edition of the Course will take place from 11th of November 2021 to 10th of February 2022 and it will be divided into five thematic modules:

Module 1. Circular economy, SDGs  and ecological aspects of mining activities
Module 2. Social and economic aspects of mining activities
Module 3. Corporation module
Module 4. Management skills
Module 5. Case study

Practical Information

– All the lectures will be organized on-line, in English

– The course is free of charge and the number of participants is limited

– Students from Greece and the RIS countries will be highly ranked.

A few words about the project RMs Manager is an EIT RawMaterials funded project established to share good practices in current education activities and develop new Raw Materials Manager course for students, in order to prepare professional personnel in the field of Management in Raw Materials sector (RMs sector). The project started in January 2020 and will last till the end of October 2022. A wide range of activities – lectures, workshops, idea camps will be transferred from innovation providers to RIS countries and will give students the possibility of expanding knowledge in order to find the right job for their special talents in the RMs sector. This innovative course grounds on mining, processing and recovery industries future and present needs and requirements for strategic, technology, operational and social managers qualification. It will ensure in-depth knowledge and understanding of corporate social responsibility, sustainable development and management, responsible mining (efficient use of natural resources, increase resource-use efficiency), global RMs distribution principles and processes, as well as greater adoption of clean and environmentally friendly technologies and industrial processes in the era of transformation to circular economy model in Europe.
